Bålprat

Bålprat is an umbrella organization established in 2020 that has committed to working locally in Bydel Bjerke (Oslo) through Interkulturell Nærmiljø Kjøkken - INK, which offers a multicultural meeting room and educational activities for young people to cook healthy food, build community ties and lead a circular food system. Since 2021 I have been working as an agriculture teacher for more than 18 teenagers, at Linderudgård with Bålprat. These activities are part of the initiative to create a circular food system where the youngs learn to prepare compost, the plots, plants and grow the food that they will use later to sell at the food truck. My experience in this field comes from my childhood, so great knowledge comes from both sides of my family. It's incredible that these types of initiatives exist, because it's really rewarding to see the teens getting involved and curious about nature! We are Kim, Jorge, Bjørn, Martin, Annabel, Kristian and I.
